London Youth Games Dance Finals

After qualifying through the Newham Dance Competition the KS3 and KS4 mixed teams competed at the London Youth Games Finals in the Copper Box on Wednesday 4th March.

At the competition the teams were judged on their concept, choreography, costume, performance and overall impact of the piece. The London Youth Games involves all 33 London Boroughs in various competitions throughout the year.

The KS3 dancers performed a piece called Tidal, which explored the theme of self esteem and confidence.  They were placed an amazing 5th missing out on the bronze medal by 0.8 of a mark. Congratulations to Jayla, Vitalijia, Jannet and Shallet!

The mixed KS4 team performed a piece called Kinship which explored the theme of loss.  Their performance was simply sublime and they were placed a fabulous 4th, again missing out on the bronze medal by 0.7 of a mark. Congratulations to Rayna, Tessa, Deborah, Jayla, Vitalijia, Jannet and Shallet!
