Applications must be made online through Gov.uk  and applicants should enter East London Teaching School Alliance in the ‘Search for a training provider’ field. Successful trainees will be awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) on the salaried route and a PGCE on the tuition fee route from our training provider, Partnership London SCITT (PLS).

We welcome applicants who have UK residency, GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C or grade 4 above and a degree (lower second minimum), in the subject in which the candidate wishes to train to teach.

For non-salaried places candidates will need to pay a course fee of £9000 but may be eligible for bursaries and loans, details of which are available on the Get into Teaching website.

For trainees starting their training in the 2019-20 academic year, scholarships of £28,000 and bursaries of £26,000 are available in Physics, Languages, Computing, Geography, Chemistry and Biology and you could get up to £32,000 for Maths.
Bursaries are also available for English, D&T, History, Music and Religious Education.

All offers of a place are ‘conditional’ until Disclosure and Barring checks have been successfully completed, qualification checks and satisfactory references have been received and the professional skills tests passed. Our partnership is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.

St Angela’s offers School Experience placements for people thinking about a career in teaching, to see if it is suitable. Subject Knowledge Enhancement courses are also available for certain teacher training places.
