Advanced-Level Physics at St Angela's
Advanced Level physics has returned to St Angela's after a 'leave of absence'. Mr Crook has joined the science department from a successful Somerset Physics department as 'co-ordinator of Physics'. Being a Technology College, the school has invested £5000 in Physics equipment, enabling a high quality of practical work and demonstration experiences.
The Advanced Level Course we are following is the 'Edexcel Physics' course. the specification used along with exemplar questions and answers and a 'Student Guide' are shown on the Edexcel Web site
The course will be taught by Mr Crook and Mr Barrett of St Bonaventure's School and incorporates:
- Mechanics
- Radioactivity
- Electricity
- Thermodynamics
- Particle Physics
- Waves and our Universe
- Fields and Forces
- Practical work
 We are hoping to take Year 12 to the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Oxfordshire, to complement the understanding of Particle Physics.

 This is on top of visits to local university departments, visiting speakers and, of course, the 'British Physics Olympiad.'
