The overall aim of the innovatory aspects of our programme is to extend teacher and pupil capacity both within St Angela’s and with our partner schools; that is the capacity to teach more effectively and the capacity to learn more efficiently.

There are currently four programmes that are being shared with our partner schools...

• Use of Data
• Advanced Skill Teaching in maths, science, MFL, RE, ICT, English
• Post 16
• Gifted and Talented

The first two programmes emerged from our definition of professional best practice, which is underpinned by school-based evidence. Both have, in our opinion, high leverage. The third programme was a response to a jointly perceived need within our network but will also contain elements of innovation as well as incremental improvement. The fourth is the school’s part of a national programme run by DCSF’s Innovations Unit
