All pupils have 3 one hour mathematics lessons each week. Pupils are set homework twice a week, as per the school homework timetable. Study support is available to all pupils, as per the school study support timetable.

Pupils starting their GCSE course in September 2006 will be entered for either Foundation or Higher tier. The grades available for each tier are shown in brackets.
 
Higher (D to A*)
Foundation (G to C)

All pupils sit two examinations.
 
Non-calculator paper
Calculator paper
 
Each examination is 2 hours.
 
Each examination is worth 40% of the pupils’ final mark.

All pupils must complete two pieces of coursework.
