Welcome

The library has undergone a major transformation and has reopened as the

Thinking and Learning Centre

(TLC)

We aim to...

Provide a safe haven for everyone seeking to fulfil her or his potential through study and research or experience life through reading fiction. It supports the curriculum and recreation needs providing staff and students with current, adequate and appropriate information sources to ensure that they are effective users of information.

The TLC underpins the school's philosophy of instilling in students a life-long love of learning. It provides a comprehensive collection of educational and recreational multi-media materials to support the learning needs of all users, to encourage growth in knowledge through their use. The TLC will assist pupils to become independent learners and to sustain and improve.

Our open access policy enables students to visit the TLC before and after school as well as all school breaks. In addition to the resources, students may also use the computers and laptops for study purposes.

We provides resources for the homework club in order that pupils who cannot study at home can do so in peace and quiet as well as having the added benefit of having teaching and TLC staff on hand to assist them with their homework.

We aim not only to support the curriculum with textbooks but also a wide selection of reading for pleasure books.

All departments can book the TLC and it’s resources during the school day.
