WHAT ARE MY LESSONS GOING TO BE LIKE?
Lessons are varied and are interactive in many cases. Our psychological evidence is demonstrated through real-life enactments and various media such as dvd’s, news clips and the interactive whiteboards. Our VLE (virtual learning environment) is a vital part of our teaching and all our resources are placed on there to enable students to access psychology 24/7 if they wish to do so! At the St Angela’s site, there is a bank of laptops, which are available to be borrowed during lessons and we encourage students to take up the laptop scheme offered by the school.
WHERE CAN PSYCHOLOGY TAKE ME?
Many of our students go on to study Psychology or Social Sciences at university and have succeeded in eventual careers within many different fields including teaching, nursing, the financial sector and media. Psychology is a very good ‘all round’ A-Level with elements of politics, biology, philosophy and sociology included and is therefore ideal for any student
WHAT OPPORTUNITIES ARE THERE OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM?
We offer trips with direct relevance to the course material, in the last academic year we have been to Snaresbrook Crown Court and had the opportunity to interview a judge and sit in on courtroom experiences, a conference hosted by the country’s top forensic psychologist, a meeting with an NYC police officer and a revision conference.

who has not come to a long term career plan but wants to gain a qualification that is both versatile and respected. Many students also get the ‘learning bug’ and continue with their studies post-degree in the field of research.
